Avon Squash Academy. Exciting News (April 2008)
|
The Academy is due to start in May 2008, we will be utilising Hadrian Stiff and the location will be Redland. We will be co-ordinating monthly Sessions with Hadrian probably for a double session on a Sunday afternoon also Development plans will be put in place so Academy players do some “Homework” , We will then be arranging lots of activities around the academy and there participants.
We are looking at sponsors also subsidising the Academy in the future but the cost will be £7.50 per child per month maximum!!
We are looking for committed players and parents!! Aged between 6-16 years old who have shown the right mental approach to do well in squash, we are taking county players outside the Elite Framework also any one who is committed to be at Redland every month for the coaching. We want players who have the potential to develop there squash game. We require 30 Children in total initially then we will review on a quarterly basis.
On the 11th May we have a Tournament at Redland and I am suggesting all interested players please attend, Hadrian will be there and it will give us a chance to see any players who might fit the bill.
If you want to nominate a player from your club
please email the details below or enter the Tournament on may 11th.

Markers
|
Recently a couple of us have taken the England Squash Marking Course and passed our exam and assesment to become qualified county standard markers. There are six of us (that I know of!) and a couple of us would like to put our new skills to good use and help mark matches and torrnaments. If you are organising a tournament or match and would like some help please don't hesitate to ask. We can't promise to be available all the time, but we will always try as it's something we would like to do. Hopefully by having a marker you will have someone who knows the rules, isn't afraid to apply them (!) and doesn't tie up your players from playing their own games. If you want to contact me please call 07906 199863 or email mike@unsworth8547.freeserve.co.uk Also....here is a plea to any qualified markers out there who we don't know. If you want to put your skills to good use please let me know and I'll add you to our database. Sadly England Squash don't seem to have a database otherwise I would have contacted you already.
